Our February Exploration takes us to Fay Bainbridge Park, where we will visit the hillside cabins and other great features that show the Foundation's work.
The tour is led by David Harry, Park Services Superintendent, who will share more about the Park District's outstanding construction program. We’ll learn how several of the cabins were built from logs reused from a Pan-Abode bunkhouse at historic Williams-Olson Park.
We'll also visit the sand volleyball court, beach boardwalks, hillside trails and park benches – a park full of successful projects led by the Parks & Trails Foundation.
After the walk, we’ll warm up around a bonfire with warm drinks at the picnic shelter.
